Bye Week Brings Fresh Threads and a Tough October Ahead

The Ducks enjoyed a relatively uneventful bye week. One thing we did get was a sharp new uniform reveal. Oregon rarely misses when it comes to jerseys, and this latest look is no exception. Now we just have to see how it looks under the lights on game day. Some uniforms look great in photos, but the real test is how they look on television. Just don’t check out the Fan Jersey theyre trying to sell.

Dante Moore Update

After the USC game Dan went and did somewhat of a media tour and we got some insights into the injury news. Dante appears to be progressing well in his recovery. While there has been no official timetable announced, the general feeling is that he’s getting healthier and trending in the right direction.

At this point, it would not be surprising if Oregon remains cautious and gives Moore a few more weeks before rushing him back into action. The bye week came at a perfect time for both Moore and the offense to get more comfotable with Dylan Raiola .

October Suddenly Looks Difficult

Back in preseason, Oregon’s October schedule looked challenging but manageable.

Fast forward a few weeks and the outlook has changed considerably.

  • UCLA is on a hot streak and playing some very solid football.
  • Northwestern looks vastly improved with our old buddy Chip calling the plays.
  • Nebraska appears to have taken a significant step forward as well.

What originally looked like a favorable stretch is now shaping up to be a great test leading up to the Ohio State game . Oregon will have its work cut out for it, especially with multiple opponents playing much better than expected.

Picks and Standings

The race at the top remains unchanged. Kellz remains Top Dog with 60 points, I managed to keep pace this week as well, with both of us only missing one game last week Fortunately for everyone chasing the top spot, this week’s slate appears considerably more challenging.

The matchup that could close the gap is Indiana vs. Nebraska could someone take the underdog here and gain some points?
